Crazy Busy

We are moving to Germany! We are both so excited but everything is happening so fast. Chris has to report by June 1st! We’ve decided that Braydon and I will go to Texas and stay with my parents for a couple months while our household goods make it across the pond. I can’t wait to spend time with my parents and friends but at the same time it’s going to be hard being separated from Chris. I know Braydon is really going to miss his daddy.

We haven’t sold our house here in Pa yet. I have a feeling we won’t be able to sell it so we also have it up for rent. I’m trying to stay positive! Needless to say, things are a bit stressful right now.

Tomorrow we are having a yard sale. Our old neighborhood is having a huge community yard sale so we’re bring lots of things over to sell. My goal is to get rid of all the stuff we’ve accumulated over the last couple years. I’m pretty sure the housing in Germany is going to be much smaller than what we have now. It feels so good to clean out our junk! I’m amazed at all things we I have purchased. At the end of the sale, they have planned for a truck to come by and pick up everything to donate to charity! Such a great idea especially because non of the stuff will end up back at my house! Hopefully we can make a little money.

National Zoo

A couple weekends ago we took Braydon to the National Zoo in DC. The zoo wasn’t that good but we still managed to have a really good time! B loved seeing all the animals, however, the elephants scared him.

He was ok with the gorilla until it got up and ran around!

White House Easter Egg Roll

Monday morning we headed to Washington DC to take Braydon to the White House Easter Egg Roll!!! Every year the First Lady hosts a huge Easter celebration on the front lawn of the White House. It was such a neat experience and I’m really glad we got to do it. Braydon was too young to participate in the egg roll and the egg hunt but we wandered around and watched everything. They had a ton of different storybook characters around for the kids to get their pictures with them, face painting, coloring station, storybook readings, animal education stations, and 2 stages for live entertainment. I hope we’ll be able to come back and do it again when Braydon is older!

Easter

After church on Sunday, we headed down to Chris’ aunt’s house in Virginia. She cooked a wonderful lunch for everyone! Braydon had a great time hanging out with Grandma Cass. They had so much fun running around outside all afternoon since the weather warmed up a bit. He also got a couple of Easter baskets and a gigantic chocolate bunny!!! It was a really nice day.

Surgery

Braydon had tubes put in his ears today. He did so well. He was very upset waking up from the anesthesia but once we got him a bottle he was fine. When he finished drinking his bottle he was already back to his normal self. I’m really surprised that there’s been almost no pain. He’s been in a great mood all day long! Hopefully, this will really help cut down the amount of ear infections he’ll get. And because I couldn’t help myself, here’s a couple photos of B in his hospital gown!
